It is often the case that a great many members of a community may in fact be safeguarded and extended by people of other communities, than from their own community.
It is often maintained that the Chinese as the economically dominant class, exploit and take advantage of the economic weakness of others.
Those who attribute their poverty and misery to the machinations of other communities and those who fall for the claptrap that justice can only come from their own kind are the kind of political morons that keep our political carpet baggers in business. These are the kind of political infants who are eventually persuaded by the demagogues to cut the throats of innocent citizens in the pathetic belief that by doing so, they would be protecting their rights and interest. Or maybe they would get their throats cut, in the interest if a similar lie, by misguided cretins from the opposition camp.
I who belong to a minority group will not, under a democratic constitution, feel very alarmed if the Legislature should not have a single representative from my community. On the contrary, I may be very alarmed if certain individuals from my community should worm their way into the legislature… In choosing leaders I would pay no regard to their racial origins. What I am concerned is with their ability, sincerity and their genuine desire to serve all people of this country.
